As part of Return Storage, Europe's leading independent provider of energy storage solutions, we develop, own, operate, and optimize innovative battery storage projects.

Your Role:

We're looking for a skilled and passionate Bookkeeper (m/f/d) to join our team and support us with expertise and enthusiasm for renewable energy.

• Responsible for complete accounting, including managing various subsidiaries, employee salaries, etc.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB (IFRS knowledge an advantage)
• Monitor and process payment transactions, perform bank reconciliations
• Support financial planning, budgeting, and reporting
• Clear up accounting queries in close collaboration with internal departments and external partners (e.g. tax consultants, auditors)
• Maintain and settle promotional projects related to energy projects
• Contribute to optimizing and digitalizing financial processes

Your Profile:

• Completed commercial education or degree with a focus on financial accounting, controlling, or similar
• Several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in the renewable energy sector, energy projects, or infrastructure
• Excellent knowledge of accounting software (especially Exact Globe or similar), experience with data migration an advantage
• Firm grasp of German commercial law (HGB) and ideally experience with international accounting standards (IFRS)
• Solid MS Office skills, especially Excel
• Strong analytical skills, a meticulous and structured work approach, and high entrepreneurial spirit
• Team player with excellent communication skills and affinity for sustainable energy solutions
• Fluent German and English language skills in spoken and written form
